Samuel Azar, teacher, executed in Egypt as Israeli spy
Jan. 31, 1955 - 31-1-55 Egypt hangs two Israeli spies. Samuel Azar, executed in Cairo. Dr Moussa Marzouk and Samuel Azar a teacher, were sentenced to death as members of a Zionist Spy Ring and were hanged in Cairo today. Dr Marzouk, a house surgeon of French nationality and Azar were among the 13 alleged members of the ring sentenced by a military court in Cairo last Thursday. It is reported that demonstrations were held in Tel Aviv against the sentences and that the crowd called on Israeli Forces to give Egypt her reply.
