Jun. 20, 1962 - Brazilian government will resign on June 26th : To enable members of the Brazilian government to become candidates for the coming parliamentary elections which are to be held in October, the government will resign on June 26th. According to Brazilian law, every candidate for the elections who has an official post has to resign 90 days before the elections. Therefore, the Brazilian State President Joao Goulart has asked the present Foreign Minister San Tiago Dantas (pictured) to form a new government
