Jan. 01, 1980 - Save the clown campaign launched at Thames TV: Today Brian Dewhirst, the founder of Clown Cavalcade, a Theatre Company which specialises in all forms of clowning and comedy, which he started seven years ago, and has up until now existed with the aid of grants from the Arts Council, this has now been stopped, so the company is under serious threat, that is the reason for the Save the Clown Campaign'.
