Sceptre restored to Queen Victoria statue, London
Jan. 01, 1970 - IMPORTANT FIND IN THE ROUND POND: An important find during the draining of the Round Pond in Kensington Gardens after more than 40 years, was the aluminum alloy sceptre stolen from Queen Victoria's statue in the gardens in 1966. It was replaced yesterday in her hand, restored after a vandal broke it off at the same time
