Scottish boy signs autograph on American boy's hat, London
Jul. 07, 1954 - Hopalong Cassidy And American Boys Arrive. Exchanging Autographs. Bill Boyd the American screen star hero of Hopalong Cassidy fame arrived at London Airport with a party of 48 boys from American States (one from each state). They are on a goodwill tour of Britain, Ireland, Scotland and Wales - and were met by 48 British Boys. It is known as Operation Friendship and is organised by the Variety Club of Great Britain.
