May 05, 1953 - Criticising modern works of Art-the Duisburg Way: The city of Duisburg, West Germany, had acquired a sculpture from young Karl Reindl, a Landshut Sculptor. Though the work had been distinguished with the 2nd prize by the industry Board, Duisburg citizens did not like the plastic at all. The official title Sitting maid with a dog was changed by Duisburgers to Little Red Riding Hood with the Wolf when an unknown man took a lipstick and marked the face with Hitler's moustache, the magistrate decided to remove the figure from the plinth
