May 15, 1953 - Criticising modern works of Art - the Duisburg Way.: The city of Duisburg, West Germany, had acquired a sculpture from young Karl Reindl, a Landshut Sculptor. Though the work had been distinguished with the 2nd prize by the Industry Board, Duisburg citizens did not like the plastic at all. The official title Sitting with a dog was changed by Duisburgers in Little Red Riding Hood with the Wolf When an unknown man marked the face with Hitler's moustache a magistrate decided to remove the sculpture from the plinth
