Sculpture, Motherhood, in parliament building, Stuttgart

May 05, 1962 - Motherhood instead of sitting youngster': In the hall of the new Stuttgart Parliament building, the Sculpture Sitting Youngsters by the late Prof. Loercher has been replaced by the sculpture Motherhood by Prof. Baum. Rumors want to know that the nude youngster caused annoyance among the visitors so that it had to be banned from the building. Officially, it is said that the terracotta material was not hard enough substantially so that it could have been damaged by the many visitors. The Sitting Youngster is to be erected in another place
