May 05, 1968 - Unusual setting for first exhibition here of Robert Helsmoortel: Augustus John's former Chelsea home at 153, Old Church Street, London SW3 is the unusual setting chosen for the first exhibition in this country of work by Robert Helsmoortel, the eminent Belgian-born sculptor and painter. The exhibition starts with invitation previews from next Tuesday (June 4) and is open to the public the following week-from 10-14 June. Mr Helsmoortel, 45, who is now an American citizen has had shows in the principal cities of Europe and America and carried out commissions for sculptures and mural in Barcelona, Brussels, Antwerp, Montreal, Atlanta, Palm Beach, Yale University and New York's Kennedy Airport. Photo shows 19-year old Sarah Simond (top) and Genevieve Bune, 19, who will be hostesses at the exhibition, pictured today with one of the exhibits titled Volupte (Voluptous)
