Sculpture in TUC building competition, London

Oct. 10, 1954 - No Sculptor Wins the TUC's Big Money. Sculptors entries for a competition run by the T.U.C. were not good enough for the top prizes - two of, 000, one of 00 and of 50, it was announced yesterday. Artists were asked to submit ideas for two pieces at the new TUC headquarters, going up in Bloomsbury, London. One was to represent the sacrifices of trade unionists in two world wars; the other to symbolise the trade union movement. Six competitors - commanded - were awarded 0 each.
