Sea quake with eruption near the Azores
Apr. 14, 1960 - An island is being born: At the time when all the world still is under the impression of the terrible earthquake of Agadir and when the experts foresee a new eruption of Vesuvius in 1960, the new colour film Gates of Hell (Pforten der Holle) is announced. It is a documentary film by the Relgian scientist Haroun Tazieff who ventured to visit the greatest volcanoes of the world in their interior.
