Jan. 01, 1959 - Seawings Demonstrated on the River Thames. The seawings hydrofoil produced in America by Dynamic Developments of the Grumman Aircraft Corporation was demonstrated on the River Thames this morning at Westminster. The Seawings are special type hydrofoils that ride in water, providing the lift to raise the hull out of the water, helping the craft travel faster because of less drag. The Seawings are priced at £300 per set - ready for fixing.
