UN Security Council debate on Namibia, New York, USA

Nov. 11, 1978 - Monday, Nov. 13th. 1978. The United Nations Security Council, New York. The Security Council voted today to condemn the decision of South Africa to hold its forthcoming elections in Namibia. The Council also called the intended elections and their results null and void and threatened sanctions against South Africa if they went ahead with the elections. The 5 Western members Abstained.
