The Security Council voted today to call South Africa's intended elections in Namibia null and void and threatened sanctions against South Africa if it went through with its intended elections. The vote was 10 in favour to none against (there were 5 abstentions, the United States, the United Kingdom, Federal Republic of Germany, Canada and France). OPS: The vote in favour of the resolution.
