Infrared sights for Army self loading rifles: Many new automatic devices are to be used by the British Army of the future including Infra-Red weapon sights which will enable a man to hit his target in the wark 150 yards away - Self-propelled guns which can swim rivers and robot spies in the form of 13.5 foot long stubby winged drones which can take photographs by day or night. It carries still or live cameras. These items are being provided for in the budget of 524, 000, 000 for the Army for the 1962-63 financial year, an increase of 16, 800, 000 on the total expediture for 1961-62.
