Mar. 03, 1957 - Seven Hour Siege of A Notting Hill House, London. Man Taken Away After Struggle. Scotland Yard called in Army tear gas experts to smoke out a man who had barricaded himself in a house in Shrewsbury Road, Westbourne Park, Notting Hill. The man gave himself up and was escorted away by the police. Earlier PC Charles Stocker was stabbed in the chest and head outside the house. He was taken to Paddington Hospital and his wounds were stitched. His tracker dog was also stabbed. Keystone Photo Shows: The man is taken from the house into a police van
