Shakespeare birthday celebrations, Stratford-on-Avon
1956 - Shakespeare Birthday celebrations at Stratford-On-Avon: The flags of many nations were unfurled at Stratford-on-Avon today to commemorate the anniversary of the birth of William Shakespeare. After the ceremony there was a procession to the house in Henley Street, where Shakespeare was born, and then to his tomb in the Parish Church to lay flowers and wreaths. Photo Shows Mrs. Pandit (Centre) walking in the procession carrying a wreath after the unfurling of the flags ceremony
