Shakespeare memorial window, Southwark Cathedral

Apr. 23, 1954 - Shakespeare Memorial window unveiled ceremony in Southwark Cathedral, London: Dame Sybil Thorndike this afternoon unveiled the new Shakespeare Memorial Window in Southwark Cathedral to celebrate the anniversary of the famous author's birth. The window which contains about 400 pieces of glass replaces the one which was destroyed by a bomb in 1945.
