Sep. 09, 1969 - Sheila Scott in Nairobi with Injured Co-Pilot. Britain record breaking flier Sheila Scott, landed at Wilson Airport, Nairobi after winning the Coup des Dames section of the East African flying Safari over the week end. Sheila's co pilot Alan Coulson flew the second leg of the 1200 mile race with a broken ankle. He was injured going to the rescue of Miss Scott during the overnight stop over at Malindi. Miss Scott said: Three drunks tried to throw me into a swimming pool at Malindi and Alan was injured when he tried to help me.
