Shelagh Delaney, the 20 year old one time cinema usherette from Salford, Lancashire, scored a great triumph in the West End with her sexy play A Taste of Honey'. The play is a lusty concoction of heavy drinking, a white girl made pregnant by a black man, and a floozie mother who hates her daughter.
