Sep. 09, 1974 - Israel's Defence Minister Tells Veterans Of the Jewish Brigade That Israel Is Ready For Any Aggression; Defence Minister of Israel, Shimon Peres, recently told veterans of the Jewish Brigade that Israel is prepared to face any form of aggression, be it armed forces, international denunciations or foreign expeditionary forces. He was speaking at a memorial meeting on Jerusalem's Mount Herzl, marking the 30th anniversary of the Brigade. The veterans at the ceremony, who were part of the British Army which fought against the Nazis in World War II, were paying tribute to the hundreds of men from their ranks who fell in the battle and were buried on foreign soil.
