Ship capsized by flood is refloated in dock, Sheerness
Feb. 17, 1953 - A Ship Capsized By The Flood Is Re-Floated In Her Dock. Keystone Photo Shows:- The water starts to flow back into the decks and gradually the frigate Berkeley Castle (1, 200 tons) swings to an even keel as she is refloated at Sheerness Docks yesterday. The ship capsized on Feb 1st. when flood water swamped the Naval Dockyard there and swept away her supports. She was re-floated in 40 minutes
