Shipping Magnate Aristotle Onassis 1906 - 1975
Mar 20, 1975 - Preveza, GREECE - Preparation for the funeral of the Greek shipping tycoon ARISTOTLE ONASSIS; the casket coming from Paris is being unloaded on the Greek airport of Preveza. Following his request, ARISTOTLE ONASSIS was buried on his private Ionian Island of Skorpios under a cypress tree near his only son Alexander. Onassis died at age 69, on March 15, 1975 in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, of bronchial pneumonia, a complication of the myasthenia gravis that he had been suffering from during the last years of his life
