Oct. 10, 1963 - 1963 Technical Assistance and special fund pledging conference; The equivalent of an estimated US31, 500, 000 is expected to be available for 1964 operations of the expanded programme of technical assistance and the United States Special fund, on the basis of financial support announced by 89 governments at today's annual pledging conference. Of the 31.5 million which includes an anticipated United States matching contribution of some 7 million, approximately 0.5 million would go to the UN Special Fund and 1 million to the expanded programme of Technical Assistance.
