1972 - Biological Warfare Convention Signing. The signing took place today at the Banqueting House, Whitehall, London, of the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production and Toxin Weapons and their Destruction. Among those signing were Sir Alec Douglas-Home, Britain's Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs; Mr. M.N. Smirnovsky, the Soviet Ambassador, and Mr. Walter H.
