Jun. 06, 1968 - Barbara Castle Sets Up A Court Of Inquiry Into The Ford Sewing Machinists Dispute: In an attempt to settle the dispute that has arisen with the sewing machinists at Ford Motor Co. at Dagenham, Mrs. Barbara Castle, has set up a Court of Inquiry Under Sir Jack Scamp with Miss Anne Shaw, the well-known industrial consultant, and two other members of high standing, Mr.Grange Moore, of B.T.R. Industries Ltd. and Mr. J.A. Peel, General Secretary, of the National Union of Dyers, Bleachers and Textile Workers.
