Oct. 10, 1958 - Bronze Head Of Sir Thomas Beecham, English conductor, Unveiled At The Royal Festival Hall: A bronze head of Sir Thomas Beecham was unveiled this morning in the presence of Sir Thomas - at the Royal Festival Hall, London. The bronze was purchased by the Royal Philharmonic Society - and a permanent site is being provided at the Royal Festival Hall. Sir Thomas, who is 79 is to conduct a series of six concerts with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra during the coming season.
