Dec. 15 Finland honours Sir Thomas Beecham, English conductor, at Sibelius concert. Sir Thomas Beecham was presented with the Order of the White Rose of Finland by the Finnish Ambassador after conducting the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in an all-Sibelius concert at the Royal Festival Hall, London, last night.
