Feb. 29 Police clash with Jewish demonstrators as the Soviet Ambassador unveils Lenin Plaque at new Hotel: There was a scuffle between the police and Jewish demonstrators this morning while Mikhail Smirnovsky, the Soviet Ambassador, was unveiling a Lenin plaque at the new Royal Scot Hotel, near Kings Cross Station, London. The plaque commemorates the fact that Lenin took lodgings at a house on the spot 67 years ago when he came to London for the the Third Congress of the Russian Democratic Labour Party in May 1905.
