Feb. 02, 1953 - Soviet Ambassador to Israel gets his Exit Visa. Russia breaks off diplomatic relations with Israel: The USSR broke off diplomatic relations with Israel - following bomb explosion in the Russian Legation in Tel Aviv - in which Mrs. Yershev - wife of the Soviet ambassador was injured with others - the inside of the legation being wrecked. When withdrawing the Soviet Ambassador - Mr. Vishinsky the Soviet Foreign Minister declared that the Israel Police had connived in the Outrage'.
