Spyros Kyprianou, Cyprus Foreign Minister, at talks

Jan. 01, 1964 - Crisis at Cyprus Talks in London. According to a report from Ankara today, the Turkish Government has decided to withdraw it's delegation to the London talks on Cyprus which began 14 days ago, and which failed to keep the peace in Cyprus, and were helping President Makarios. In London, Mr. Butler invited the Turkish Foreign Minister Mr. Erkin, who is leading the delegation, to talks at the Foreign Office today, and the Life Guards have received orders to stand by to leave for Cyprus, and Mr. Sandys is arranging to see Cyprus Foreign Minister Mr. Spyros Kyprianou.
