Apr. 21, 1966 - State Opening Of Parliament. TV Cameras In Commons: For the first time ever, the full ceremony of the State Opening of Parliament, was being televised throughout the country today. Television cameras, never previously allowed in the House of Commons, were installed. Press photographers were making their first appearance in the House for the State occasion.
