Nov. 29, 1957 - New Statue of Sir Walter Raleigh for London: Mr. William McMillan (70) the sculptor who produced the George VI Memorial overlooking the Mall is now putting the finishing touches to his new Statue of Sir Walter Raleigh which is to be erected in London next year. The statue was commissioned by a group of Friends of the English Speaking Union in connection with the 350th anniversary this year of Jamestown Virginia. Photo shows Mr. William McMillan with his almost completed statue at his London studio
