Students demonstrate for union of Cyprus with Greece

Mar. 03, 1954 - Students Demonstrate In Athens Demanding Union Of Cyprus With Greece: About a hundred students took part in a demonstration in Athens recently when they tried to prevent a lecture by Mr. Donald McLachlan of The Economist. They paraded outside the Anglo-Hellenic with Cyprus, and some students were arrested. At the same time demonstrations were held on the island of Rhodes to mark the arrival there of the Cypriot Archbishop Makarios, the leader of the movement seeking the Union of Cyprus with Greece.
