Students sit in in Vietnam demonstration, Frankfurt

Feb. 02, 1968 - A street battle broke out in Frankfurt on Monday, February 05, after a teach in of students with the SDS chief ideologist Rudi Dutschke, in front of the American consulate general in Frankfurt, in the course of which the police used water throwers. Battles with the police broke out which turned into duels in some cases. After police activity of nearly one hour the streets could be cleared. Six demonstrators were arrested. On posters the Socialist German Students Union demanded a battle against the participation in a Vietnam demonstration. Photo Shows Sit in in front of police cars in the Frankfurt city
