Dec. 20 American Girl Who attempts Under Water Channel Swim Makes It Up With Her Husband. Jane Baldasare, the 24 year old American Girl who attempts an under water swim today, broke shock news to her husband Fred yesterday. She admitted that she had asked a New Lawyer to start divorce proceedings. Fred Baldasare, 36 year old film director, was shocked, but Jane told him that she had changed her mind, and did not want to divorce after all. It appears that some months ago, while her husband was filming in Oklahoma, they had a quarrel over the phone, and without telling her husband she asked her lawyer to start divorce proceedings.
