Dec. 21 Kathy V.C. The Annual Valour in Sport Award (known as the V.C. of sport), was presented to 14 year old Kathy Miller from Arizona, U.S.A. she is a swimmer and athlete who was in a coma for ten weeks after being struck by a car. Yet she was so determined to return to sport on recovery. She trained to compete in a 10, 000 metres run. For the presentation of her award, Kathy visited the Mansion House to see the Lord Mayer of London and then she went on to the Guildhall for her sporting luncheon.
