All In The Line Of Duty: Taking the plunge off Southend are members of the Essex Police's 13-man diving team. Marine Inspector Robert George, who heads the Essex force's aqua units, said: These men can be called out immediately for diving operations. Each one trains at least once a fortnight. They must be able to go off helicopters, boats, bridges and piers'. When they are on dry land the men are engaged in normal police work
