Mar. 03, 1960 - Australian Swimmer Dawn Fraser Sets Up New World Records at Australian Swim Championships. In a sizzling 220 yards freestyle final, Australian swimmer Dawn Fraser, broke her own 200 and 220 yards world records by 3.1 secs in the Australian Swimming Championships at North Sydney last Saturday. This brought her tally for the championships to five. Previously she had smashed her own world 100 metres and 110 yards freestyle marks and on the same night established a new 110 yards butterfly time.
