May 05, 1964 - QA Diving Board- Just For One.. Olympic Home Marion Watson - In Training: Fifteen year old Marion Watson a Bournemouth Schoolgirl won is one of Britain's chief hopes in the Olympic Games Diving this August in Rome-- is now trying out a new Springboard - installed at her local baths for her Exclusive use. The Amateur Swimming Association have bought the board, which is of the same type that will be used in the Games - and the Baths Superintendent has been asked to assure that only Margaret uses it. When the Olympic Pool opened at Rome in September- Marion won the springboard event against Swedish and Italian divers. Show hold both the British Senior and Junior Titles- but was not allowed to dive in the Senior events in the National Schools Championships last year because she was too young. The A.S.
