Swimming - Diving

May 13, 1964 - Said to be Britain's best prospect ever for water skiing, in spite of the climatic difficulties which make all year round training difficult, is 17 year old Jeannete Stuart Wood, a schoolgirl from Headington, Oxon, who is Bristish overall ladies champion, and holder of the European Slalom and Jumping Champion, the first British skier to win two tiles. She has jumped 75-80 feet, and has reached a top slalom speed of 34 mph, and is expected to reach 38 mph this season. Photo Shows: while practising the slalom at the Huislip lido, Jeannete Stuart Wood loses controls and takes a dive
