Swimming - Diving

Jun. 06, 1966 - Monster problem of a long-distance swimmer 17-year-old girl plans to swim lochness.: It is inetable that anyone comtemplating swimming Lochness must get a mite weary of tired jokes about the famous Monster - better known as Nessie'. But Nessie is likely to be the least of 17-year-old Brenda Sherratt's problems when she attempts her 24-mile swim of Lochness next month. The only giant-sized problem she will meet is the temperature of the water, reputedly the coldest in Britain and the reason why no one as yet completed the trip. Brenda of Bollington, Cheshire, is training for her big swim in a private lake at Hanbury. Photo shows 17-year old Brenda Sherratt pictured after a training swim
