Feb. 03, 1968 - Ice cream as a reward.. is a-okay with Claudia, even in winter! Whenever they are asked about what they want as a reward for accomplishments, little ones all over have this sweet treat on their wishlist. Here in this picture we have sporty Claudia Michael, who earned her ice cream for sure! Claudia, just three years and four months old, swam a solid thity minutes in the waters of Munich Westbad(accompanied by many an anxious observer). She may be the youngest distance swimmer in the world. Outside of the title and the delicious treat, there was yet a more official side. She was also awarded a bright red swimsuit with distance swimmer stitched into it. The organizer was Komitee Sicherheit f?r das Kind or The committee for child safety
