Mar. 03, 1965 - Sixteen Year Old Australian Swimmer Breaks World Record - Twice In Fortnight; Kathy Wainwright - a discard from the State swimming team - recently broke a world record for the second time in a fortnight. She won the State Women's 800 meters championship in 9 min. 48.7 secs at North Sydney Olympic Pool - clipping8-4 sec off the world record held by Canadian J. Hughes. A fortnight previously Miss Wainwright bettered the World 1650 yard record in a sole swim at Drummmoyne. Photo Shows Kathy Wainwright - she broke two world records in two weeks
