Synchro sheet and synchro reader, new invention

Feb. 29 A Japanese girl records a song on the synchro reader. A paper that speaks invented in Japan: Professor Yasushi Hoshino of the the Tokyo Institute of Technology in Japan announces a revolutionary invention a paper that speaks! the paper called the synchro sheet is coated on the back with a magnetic recording material. The front of the paper contains pictures and words. When the sheet of paper is placed on the synchro reader and played back the words and pictures appearing on the front are transferred into sounds. In other words the picture can be seen and the sound can be heard at the same time. The synchro reader can also be substituted as a tape recorder. It is much simpler to operate than a recorder. Recording up to 15 minutes can be made on a single sheet of paper at a cost of only two cents per sheet. The paper can be folded and sent through the mail without losing any of the sound quality. Several copies can be reproduced from one original sheet by means of a magnetic printer. The recording on the sheet of the same sheet of paper can be used over and over again. It is possible to bind the synchro sheet which will be especially convenient for sending voice letters, taking telephone calls, learning through correspondence courses, learning foreign languages, music practice, books for the blind etc
