Tapestry by Georges Braque, exhibition in Munich
Oct. 10, 1963 - The most comprehensive Georges Braque Exhibition till now The House of Art at Munich opens the doors for the first visitors of the comprehensive exhibition of the work of Georges Braque. Braque's course of development is to be seen there, with the beginning in 1902 to his last painting in 1962. The exhibition has collected 150 oil-paintings, further the whole graphic-work (110 papers), some sculptures, book-illustrations and a wall-tapestry, manufactured after an oil-painting from 1928. The works of this exhibition were lent by 21 museums and 50 private-collectors at home and abroad.
