1959 - World Championship in Table Tennis 1959 in Dortmund/Germany : In the World Championship in Table Tennis 1959 which was held from March 27th till April 5th, 1959 in Dortmund/ Germany, on March 31st the title of the Team World Champion was given to the Japanese teams, both men and women team. The women were able to beat the Korean team after hard combat, and the men beat the Hungarian team (2nd) by 5:1. o.p.s.
