Terrorists Storm Nicaragua's National Palace
Aug. 08, 1978 - Nicaragua - About 24 left-wing terrorists shot their way into Nicoragua's National Palace today and took 40 parliamentarians and one Minister as hostages. Hoping to oust Nicaragua's governing family dynasty they seized the palace after a gun-battle. The terrorists were led by a man code-named zero. The hostages include the 32 year-old son of President Somoza. Four people are known to be dead and seven injured. President Somoza, pictured, who has declared a state of emergency after the raid today
