Thousands march in Alabama for voting rights
March 24, 1965 - Alabama, USA - American Civil Rights leader Dr. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. center, and his wife, CORETTA SCOTT KING, right, sing along with others as they walk through the rain during the Selma to Montgomery march for voting rights. Earlier marches had been stopped, the first violently, by police and state troopers. This march was completed under the protection of federally ordered National Guardsmen.
