Tilly the lamb with role in religious play, Soho, London
Mar. 31 Tilly the lamb who plays the part of the Sacrificial lamb in the show, is looked after by a young lady from the Zoo who lent the boys the lamb. She keeps him quiet while he waits for his cue to go on. Bluecoat boys produce pre-Shakespeare drama in Ruins of bombed Soho church: 30 boys from Christ's Hospital School have given up their holidays and pocket money to stage a week's run of pre-Shakespeare drama in the ruins of bombed St. Anne's church, off Shaftesbury Avenue, Soho. They have built a stage and a minstrel's Gallery, put 300 seats and set up a glade of trees to hide the surrounding roofs of Soho. Tilly the lamb has been lent by the London Zoo to play the part of the Sacrificial lamb. The play is called Heritage and is described as The Spirit of Early England seen through its music and drama it has been devised and produced by Michael Marland
